You may remember back in December I shared about my pup Dylan’s 30 day experience with Purina Pro Plan® BRIGHT MIND Adult 7+®. Check out the post here: Howliday Dog Cookie Pops and New Purina Pro Plan Bright Mind Dog Food . I loved how after such a short time my boy was more alert and playful. Since then we have kept feeding him Bright Mind and I am loving the positive changes I continue to see!

Dylan is turning 9 this year but he has always looked like a puppy and no one ever believes he’s his age. But before we started this new dog food he was getting more sluggish and tired in his older years and I could see my boy was starting to show his age.

Now, three months later and still on Bright Minds,
I am happy to say Dylan is acting like a puppy again!

Not only does he have energy and attention, his coat is shiner and his joints don’t seem to be as stiff.
He can even keep up with my endless energy toddler, Ava!

High-quality protein, including chicken as the 1st ingredient of Bright Mind.
Other ingredients include EPA, an omega-3 fatty acid, and glucosamine, that help support joint health and mobility.

DIY Braided Dog Toy

These simple durable tug of war toys are easy to make and cost under a dollar each.
They make great gifts for all the pups you know. Dylan sure loved his!

What you need:

  • 3-4 different prints of fleece fabric, at least 1/4 yard of each.
  • fabric scissors or a rotary cutter
  • rubber band

You can use any fleece fabric you like.
I chose 4 different patterns, 1/4 yard of each to mix and match/
You need three strips of different print fabric for each toy.
Cut 3 inches wide and depending on the thickness and length of each toy {and size of dog}
you can either cut the entire length {1/4 yard} of the fabric or you can half that amount.
Once you cut the three strips tie a large knot in the middle.
Now braid the fabric tightly on both sides.
Add a knot on each end.
Simple, colorful, and cute!
These are smaller and thinner and are the perfect size for a puppy or small dog.
Another style is the looped toy. You need to use more fabric for this one so I cut the strips the entire length of the fabric {1/4 yard}.
For this toy simply add a rubber band in the middle and braid 1/3 of the way on either side.
Remove the rubber band.
Now group the six strips into three and braid the remainder then knot at the end.
We made about 6 dog toys for Dylan and his puppy friends.
My playful pup loved them!
We love you Dylan dog!
