My most popular recipe on the blog is my Crock-Pot Brown Sugar Pineapple Ham and needless to say I make it all the time especially during the holidays. I always have leftovers and I love making creative and kid friendly meals with them.
My kiddos love sliders so I thought I would use up a few of our holiday dishes including the ham, cranberry sauce, and mashed potatoes and make Leftover Holiday Ham Baked Sliders for dinner. They turned out better than expected {don’t you love when that happens} and we now have different versions of these mini baked sandwiches often!
For this recipe I use leftover sliced ham from this Crock-Pot Brown Sugar Pineapple Ham.

Leftover Holiday Ham Baked Sliders

Makes 12 sliders

Ingredients

  • 1 package 12 count slider rolls {I use King's Hawaiian brand}
  • 6 slices leftover baked ham cut in half {my Crock-Pot recipe here}
  • 1/2 cup leftover mashed potatoes
  • 1/4 cup leftover cranberry sauce {check out my recipe here}
  • 6 slices cheese {I like provolone or white cheddar}
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ham cooking liquid/juices optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Cut slider rolls in half width wise and place bottom half face up on a large baking sheet.
  • Now spread leftover mashed potatoes {check out my recipe} on top of the bread.
  • Top with thick ham slices.
  • Spread cranberry sauce on top of ham.
  • Top with 6 slices of cheese.
  • Now add the top slider buns on top of the cheese.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and discard the foil.
  • Add dots of butter and sprinkle with brown sugar on the tops of the sliders.
  • I like to brush on some of the ham juices on top of the sliders too.
  • Put bake in the oven and bake for 5 minutes or until the sugar is caramelized.
  • Cut into individual sliders and serve warm.

There is a reason this ham is my #1 recipe.

It is easy to make and absolutely delicious!
Check out the easy recipe here.
Start with a 12 pack of slider rolls.
Cut them in half width wise and place bottom half face up on a large baking sheet.
Do not separate the slider buns!
Now spread leftover mashed potatoes {check out my recipe} on top of the bread.
Top with sliced ham.
Overlap the slices and add a lot {I added 12 half slices}.
Now slather on generous amounts of cranberry sauce.
Top with 6 slices of cheese.
You can use any kind of cheese.
I have used provolone, white cheddar, and Muenster.
Now add the top slider buns on top of the cheese.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and discard aluminum foil.
Add dots of butter and sprinkle with brown sugar on the tops of the sliders.
I like to brush some of the ham cooking juices on top of the buns too.
Now pop them back in the oven for 5 minutes or until nice and caramelized and crispy on top.
Remove from oven and cut into individual sliders.
Serve warm and enjoy!
Leftovers never tasted so good!

These sliders are perfect for game day, holidays, and busy weeknights.

🍳 How fun is this April Fool's Day breakfast egg prank?! My kids love all the silly tricks we do on April 1st so this year I thought of a new one to really fool them. I served "sunny side up eggs" for breakfast, two different ways! Check out the details on the blog. 😂😂😂

Time to be transparent. I have been struggling for a while now. I feel like I lost myself years ago. Self worth is so important and I am just now starting to love and focus on me again. I am not striving to be perfect but I am so excited to be a healthier, happier me this year.

My girls and I had a delicious meal at the one of a kind @wellmetcafe . Standouts were the Tokyo Fog drink with yuzu and boba which tasted like Fruit Loops and the amazing Onyx bacon and soft scrambled eggs with creme fraiche.
Next time I can't wait to try the avocado toast and the Taking Back Sunday chicken sandwich. 🥑

One of my favorite quiet spots in all of Missouri - beautiful Roubidoux Springs in Waynesville, MO. We spent so many afternoons here fishing, splashing, hunting for treasures, skipping rocks, having picnics, and cuddling our dogs. I loved being able to visit again yesterday and enjoy the serene environment and warm sunshine. A must see! ☀️
