My baby shower was such a fun celebration!
It was Bun in the Oven themed and I’m sharing all the details with you including my Raspberry Cinnamon Buns recipe.

Digital invites from The Party Stork on etsy.com

In June Ashton and I went home to Florida and celebrated our baby shower in Destin.
The theme was “Bun in the Oven”  and my sweet friends and family went all out with the decorations and party planning! Ashton and I decided to wear matching shirts. Mine is from BabyTalkDesigns on etsy.com and Ashton’s is homemade!

The Bun Maker.
My two beautiful cousins, Lauren and Kristen
helped decorate. They even designed this adorable fingerprint guestbook!

Nathan “signing” the guestbook.

Decor including Advice for the Little Bun MadLibs cards (again an etsy find!)
and ultrasound pics of our baby girl!

My awesome parents filling out the Advice for the Little Buns cards.

My super crafty friend Connie made the tissue paper pompoms and this adorable banner!
Check out her blog here: The Crafty Soprano

Extra large tissue paper pompoms hung from the lights and the table was decorated with whimsical touches including Snowballs and Cinnamon Buns on sticks. Babies Breath flowers and Diaper Candy, basically and easier version of a Diaper cake with rolled diapers inside a receiving blanket tied on both ends with ribbon, were the centerpieces.

Connie also created this adorable oven from a Martha Stewart tutorial online.

Dad and Uncle Dickie made the seafood boil with freshly caught Royal Red Shrimp! Yum!
The Daddy to Be and my wonderful cousin Becca
Mom and Aunt Joanne
The Kentucky cousins catching up.
Game Time! Becca chose fun baby words games and bingo and a (slightly) embarrassing game where she secretly wrote down my responses when I was opening presents and then read them off as things I said on the night the baby was conceived! LOL

Mom and Aunt Jeanine hard at work on the Baby Word Search.
Connie won a prize!
Opening presents with Ashton. Isn’t it great that he was part of the shower?
(Although truthfully he hung out on the balcony with the guys during the games and “girlie stuff”)
My Raspberry Cinnamon Buns were a tasty treat.
You can also wrap them up in goody bags and attach a recipe card!

My childhood fave: pink Snowballs!

We also served Florida Key Lime Pie and my famous Bacon Wrapped Dates!

Ashton made colorful fruit skewers
The guys loved the Southern Seafood Boil:
spicy jumbo shrimp cooked with sausage, corn on the cob, onions, and new potatoes.
Mom made a tasty Spinach Fruit Salad.
