We enjoyed a day at IronGate Berry Farm in Eldridge, Mo a couple weeks ago. They had fresh strawberries ripe for the picking and we had a great time filling a box full.

The girls ate a TON of strawberries on their own but I froze some for chilled strawberry soup (coming soon) and kept a bag of fresh berries for desserts.

For Memorial Day, we went to the pond and brought our portable grill to make lunch.

The Grill Master himself always makes mazing creations on the grill!

We decided to make Grilled Strawberry S’mores and they were amazing! Check out our video and the recipe below.

Using a grill pan, griddle, or disposable grill pan (what I prefer) add all crackers on the bottom.

Top with a few squares of chocolate on 4 crackers.
Then add sliced strawberries on top of the chocolate.
Top the berries with a large marshmallow.

Place the pan on the grill and close the cover.

Grill for approx 2 minutes until warmed and the marshmallow is soft and golden on top.

Remove and carefully add the top cracker to each marshmallow topped cracker.

I want to try raspberries next and even adding warm jam! I’ve done peanut butter s’mores before and they are awesome.

Serve warm and gooey and enjoy!

The ultimate summer dessert!

You can also make these at home. We love Oven Baked S’mores on movie night.

Just place on a baking sheet and heat under the broiler for one minute.

Simply delicious. I wish I had discovered this recipe 2 weeks ago. The strawberry season just ended where I live. No drama, I will keep this in mind for next year.

This sounds like such a delicious combination! S’mores are a little too sweet for me, and I think the addition of the strawberries are perfect.
