It’s been another delicious year!

This year my blog continued to grow and blossom and I even had a recipe {my Crock-Pot Brown Sugar Pineapple Ham} go viral with 6 MILLION views and counting!
I so appreciate all of you for your continued support and I am excited to share my Top 10 Recipes of 2016 with y’all today!

Thank you fellow foodies and here’s to more Happy Cooking in 2017!

First, let’s start with two delicious recipes that almost made the cut!
These two runner ups were the 11th and 12th most popular recipes of 2016.

12. Mama’s Holiday Cranberry Sauce

A family favorite- year after year. My Mama’s recipe
with just 5 ingredients and a whole lotta love!

11. Dragon Fire Chicken Wings

These Dragon Fire Chicken Wings are inspired by the new Disney movie, Pete’s Dragon. They are baked until crisp and then tossed in a fiery sweet and spicy sauce.

And now for the Top 10!

10. Mouthwatering Holiday Potato Side Dishes and Appetizers

Looking for a last minute recipe for the holidays? I have compiled my favorite ten potato side dishes and appetizers for you. I know you will find a tasty recipe {or two or three} and I promise, you won’t be disappointed!

9. Slow Cooked, Chicago Style Italian Beef Sandwiches

Who doesn’t love a hearty, slow cooked sandwich topped with melted cheese and lots of crunchy, spicy Mezzetta brand peppers?!

8. One Pot Shrimp Scampi Pasta

This One Pot Pasta is made in just 10 minutes with SeaPak Shrimp & Seafood Co Shrimp Scampi, fresh veggies, and pasta.

7. Daddy’s Slow Cooked Southern Lima Beans

These simple 3 ingredient smoky lima beans are slow cooked all day in the Crock- Pot. You can serve them as a side dish or they’re hearty- and delicious- enough to be a meal on their own.

6. Chocolate Pudding Dirt Cups with Strawberry Ladybugs

These chocolate pudding cups are covered in crushed Oreo “dirt” and topped with chocolate strawberry “ladybugs”. It’s a fun and delicious treat that the kiddos will love!

5. Southern Slow Cooked Hot Boiled Peanuts

Hot Boiled Peanuts are one of my favorite foods from childhood.
We would buy them at a produce stand down the road from our home.
Now I make them at home in my Crock-Pot!

4. Paula Deen’s Shrimp and Potato Soup

This recipe for Shrimp and Potato Soup, garnished with bacon and cheese, is adapted from a recipe by the amazing Paula Deen. It is the perfect hearty soup for a cold winter night. Enjoy!

3. Oven Baked Meatball Subs

Flavorful meatballs are baked and simmered in Ragu® pasta sauce then added to hoagie rolls and topped with mozzarella cheese and lots of sauce. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes and serve.
Perfect for feeding a crowd on game day!

2. Southern Style Milk and Butter Boiled Corn on the Cob

Ever heard of corn on the cob cooked ‘Southern style’?
Simply boil them in a pot of water mixed with milk, butter, and sugar.
The result? Juicy, tender, and sweet corn that will make your mouth water!

And my #1 most popular recipe of 2016 is my
New Year’s Southern Fried Cabbage!

This recipe has had over 70,000 views this year and is by far my most popular new recipe!
I even made a cooking video for this tasty cabbage recipe {check it out below}. This sauteed cabbage recipe with onions and bacon is the perfect accompaniment to your lucky New Years black eyed peas and cornbread! It is so simple to make that you will add this to your go to side dishes for meals all year long!

🍜 We had so much fun celebrating Lunar New Year last weekend with dinner at @pho_85_noodle_house_llc in Bentonville, AR! The Banh Mi sandwich and Beef and Seafood Pho soups were filled with fresh ingredients and flavor packed. As you can see their portions were huge so it's a great place to share! We also tried an appetizer sampler, Thai Tea, Coconut Boba Smoothie (my girls' favorite) and macarons for dessert. Everything was made to order and delicious. The staff was kind and helpful. If you live near by, check them out and #eatlocall ! ❤️ @visitbentonville #Bentonville #pho85noodlehouse #arkansasfoodie #whatsfordinner #arkansasblogger #supportlocal #bentonvillearkansas #lunarnewyear #chinesenewyear

🌟I had to step out of my comfort zone today and attend my first networking event since moving to Arkansas. I already struggle with meeting new people and being social since I work from home but now I live in a new city and know no one. Thank goodness I found @winnwa . The networking lunch today at @bonefishgrill was exciting, encouraging, and of course, fun! Over 80 local business women attended and everyone had a chance to introduce themselves and share what they do. I look forward to more #womeninnetworking events in the future. Hoping to make some new friends too!
