As a Southern born and raised foodie, y’all know I love a hot bowl of buttery grits! So when I was asked by Moms Meet {greenmomsmeet.com} to review Wild Blueberries {wildblueberries.com}, I knew I wanted to share a few mouthwatering, savory blueberry dishes that feature combos that most people wouldn’t think of. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good Blueberry Muffin or Blueberry Smoothie but I {and I’m sure you too} have seen plenty of recipes for those. But how about Crock-Pot Blueberry Barbecue Chicken Wings or Bacon Wrapped Blueberry Glazed Smokies, or -wait for it-  Wild Blueberry Buttery Grits?! Yep, you read that right and let me tell you Wild Blueberries and hot buttery grits are a match made in foodie heaven!
Check out the easy recipe below – and some info on the benefits of Wild Blueberries–  and make a pot of Wild Blueberry Buttery Grits for your next family breakfast! Trust me- you’ll thank me.

Why go wild for Wild Blueberries?

• Wild Blueberries have a more intense flavor than regular blueberries. Wild Blueberry
plants are more genetically diverse with thousands of interlocking plants spreading and
interlocking naturally across fields over thousands of years. That diversity is what gives
Wild Blueberries their complex and delicious flavor—an extraordinary mix of tart and sweet.
 • Wild Blueberries have two times the antioxidant capacity of the larger cultivated blueberries.
A growing body of research shows the potential health benefits of Wild Blueberries
including gut health, diabetes, cancer, and brain health.
 • 99% of the Wild Blueberry crop is frozen fresh at harvest, which locks in their nutrition and
taste.
 • Wild Blueberries are called “wild” because they are not planted— they have occurred
naturally in barrens and fields in Maine and Eastern Canada for 10,000 years.

We spent Earth Day 2022 in Springfield at the picnic and a movie event in the gardens. It was the perfect sunny afternoon with a breeze and we shared a delicious charcuterie picnic and watched "Bee Movie". The girls did crafts, played in the park, listened to speakers and poetry, and @theparkboard gave us a tree to take home. We had a great time and everyone slept the whole drive home (except Mom)! #earthday2022 #springfieldmo #missourilife #movienight #earthday #picnic #familyfun
