Mother's Day "Brave" Inspired DIY Flower Suncatcher #MovieMonday

This DIY Flower Suncatcher is a fun and pretty gift idea for Mother's Day inspired by Disney's Brave for #MovieMonday . Check out the directions below and see some of our favorite Brave quotes and photos!
On the last (or fourth) Monday of each month, a group of bloggers participate in a #MovieMondayChallenge, hosted by C'mon Get Crafty! We decide on a topic, genre, or specific movie to use for inspiration and everyone gets free reign to create something wonderful!

This month's challenge was. . . . Mothers! Your Mom's Favorite Film, or just a movie about motherhood! Everyone was allowed to choose their own favorite film so long as it was inspired by the challenge word and I chose one of our family's favorites: Disney's Brave
We are a Disney lovin' family and my little Ava loves Marida from Brave the best!
So it was a no brainer when I had to choose a Mother's Day themed movie for Movie Monday today.
In the movie Merida and her mother, Queen Elinor, don't agree on Merida's future path as princess and Merida  finds a witch in the woods and makes an ill fated wish against her mother. In the end Merida discovers the true meaning of courage and her Mom and her are closer than ever.
My little Ava, age 2, meeting her favorite princess Merida from Brave at Disney World.
I cannot wait until our next trip to Disney World so Stella can meet Merida too.

"There are those who say that fate is something beyond our command. That our destinies are not our own. But I know better. Our fate lives within us. You only have to be brave enough to see it."

Magical Unicorn Cupcakes

It's my youngest baby's birthday today and this Mama cannot handle it!
My Stella is so smart and funny and down right amazing! Naturally, this beautiful girl wanted a fancy Unicorn themed party this year so we celebrated with her sister, Oba, and friends and we had a blast.
I will share the Unicorn Party details this weekend but first I wanted to show y'all these adorable- and super easy to make- Magical Unicorn Cupcakes the girls and I made at home for movie night.
You can use homemade or store bought cupcakes and simply add green sprinkle "grass", tiny unicorn toys {thank you Target $1 section!}, and gummy rainbow candy. Voila done in minutes! Go above and beyond and serve with Unicorn ice cream and your kids will think you are the bees knees!
It's hard to believe this sweet spaghetti lovin' baby is already 3 years old!
Happy Birthday my sweet Stella Rose!

Teriyaki Bacon Wrapped Scallops

Growing up in Florida I, not surprisingly, have been eating seafood since before I could walk.
I like it all and I am trying to raise my kids the same way. Try everything, be open minded.
We are a foodie family after all.
So today I am sharing a seafood recipe my father has made for me many times. These Teriyaki Bacon Wrapped Scallops are gourmet and impressive served during the holidays as a appetizer. Even better, they are made with just 3 ingredients and easy to make at home!
Give them a try. My kiddos gobbled them up at Easter and made this Mama proud.
Easter scallop appetizers were given two thumbs up from Stella.
This appetizer should be on every seafood lover's holiday menu!

Deviled Eggs are an often requested - and gobbled up- snack in our home! So today I decided to think out of the box and instead of making my kiddos the traditional deviled eggs I added a fun breakfast twist- cream cheese, egg, and bacon filling topped with a crunchy bacon and hash brown garnish!
My foodie family loved these Breakfast Lovers Deviled Eggs and so will you!
