We’ll Miss You! Blue Themed Farewell Party

The day has finally arrived…and I’m trying not to sob like a baby cry. Today my best friend Molly and her daughter (and Ava’s best friend) Charlotte are moving. We met two years ago when I first moved to Ft Polk, LA and we were both newly pregnant and attending a local baby shower event. We quickly bonded after finding out we had Army husbands stationed here and we were both expecting our first babies, precious little girls, due just two weeks apart. We attended childbirth classes together, shopped for baby clothes, celebrated birthdays and visited each other in the hospital when we each had a healthy baby girl, born two weeks apart. I could not imagine my life in Ft Polk, LA- literally the middle of nowhere- without Molly. Alas, military life is tough and being a military family means you rarely stay in the same place long, so Molly and Charlotte are off to bigger and better things up north. Ava and I will miss them more than we can imagine but as always we wish them luck, happiness, and a bright future!
“Good Friends Never Say Goodbye, They Simply Say See You Later”.

Molly’s favorite color is blue so I threw her and Charlotte a blue themed farewell party last week complete with blue coconut cupcakes (another fave) and lots of blue decor and gifts.
View the pics below!
Cupcake Time!
Ava was so excited to help me decorate and throw a party for her best friend!

Swirlberry, our local frozen yogurt hangout, was the perfect location for our kid friendly farewell party! Bright and open, with affordable and delicious fro-yo and toppings galore!

{The blue party set up included cupcakes, candy, and cookies!}

Simple but perfect for our small gathering of good friends!
I found this cute picture gift bag at The Dollar Tree and this fun printable here.
A blue gift basket full of blue candy, goodies, and pictures for Molly and Charlotte. The chalkboard butterfly clips, from Michaels Craft store, say “So Long, Farewell, Goodbye my Friend!” – lyrics from the Music Together class we attended with our daughters.
Favors for everyone: Blueberry filled sugar cookies.
Molly’s favorite color and flavor: Blue Coconut Cupcakes from ShayShays Cupcakes
I found these free printable cake flags here.
I taped them to polka-dot paper straws (from Target dollar section)
and pushed them into the cupcakes.

Ava really wanted a cupcake! Then politely wiped her mouth 🙂
Sweet Charlotte sitting pretty!
Fox’s Pizza, Cupcakes, and FroYo! It doesn’t get any better than that!
Charlotte dived right into her cupcake!
My sweet Ava couldn’t resist the delish blue coconut cupcakes either!
Cute kiddos including a precious newborn attended!

Cuteness overload! So good to have a last play date with everyone!
The best part about Swirlberry? Lots of space for the kids to have fun!
Group pic before our goodbyes.

“We’re So Blue, We’ll Miss You”!

Good luck on your new adventures and see you soon sweet friends!
