Recently I flew home to be with my family during my Dad’s heart surgery. This was not a planned procedure and obviously quite scary for all of us. Since my parents were not prepared they did not have meals stocked up for the recovery time, which is both exhausting for the patient {my Dad} and the caregiver {my Mom}. Sometimes I truly felt helpless just sitting there waiting. I knew I wanted to help them as best I could and besides running errands I knew stocking up their freezer with meals would help them tremendously in the coming weeks. My philosophy has always been Food is Love and this was my way of showing it.
