I have had this Holiday Pumpkin Pie Pudding Dip a few times this holiday season and each time I like it more and more. My friend Margo makes hers with a dash of almond extract and I added that to my dip that I served on Thanksgiving this year and it made it even better! You can serve this creamy dip as a tasty appetizer but because of it’s sweetness it may be better served as a dessert.
Happy Holidays and remember—-
Gobble Til You Wobble!

Pumpkin Pie Pudding Dip

Ingredients

  • 9 oz Vanilla pudding mix just the dry mix- I use one large box and one small box
  • 1 15 oz can pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup whipped cream homemade or Cool Whip
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • approx 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • optional: cleaned pie pumpkin with top removed to serve the dip in
  • Serve with: apple slices vanilla wafers, and gingersnaps

Instructions

  • Mix pudding mix, pumpkin, and whipped cream in a medium bowl.
  • Add nutmeg and almond extract and mix well.
  • Scoop into a cleaned out pie pumpkin or medium decorative bowl. Refrigerate until ready to use/
  • Top with pumpkin pie spice right before serving.
  • Serve with vanilla wafers, apple slices, and gingersnaps.

Notes

* Serve as an appetizer or a dessert. Perfect to bring to a holiday party!

Make simple homemade whipped cream using 1 carton of heavy cream mixed on high with 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1 tbsp vanilla.
Use a cold bowl and beaters (I place mine in the freezer for 30 minutes before use) to make the perfect whipped cream in minutes!
Sweet, fluffy, and perfect for topping your holiday desserts,
Pumpkin, dry vanilla pudding mix, and whipped cream make up this Pumpkin Pie Pudding Dip.
Mix in homemade whipped cream to the pumpkin and pudding mix.
I am a big fan of almond extract in my cookies and adding it to this sweet dip adds
 another delicious layer of flavor!
I like to use fresh grated nutmeg in my recipes. Add about 1 tsp.
Mix it all together until smooth.

This is a great recipe to make ahead of time for a party
 or, like we
did, for a holiday meal.

Just place in a carved out pumpkin or
decorative bowl right before serving.

I got my Dad to cut open and clean out a mini pie pumpkin for me.
This recipe fills the pie pumpkin perfectly and makes a festive display to serve your dip in.
I like to serve mine with tart apple slices and crunchy vanilla wafer cookies for dipping.
Ava and I painted this cute platter this year with her hand print turkey.
I can’t get enough of pumpkin (to eat and to decorate as you can see!)
Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving!
