What a busy day! My party was tonight so yesterday I got all my groceries, made my thank you bags, and decorated and cleaned the house. Today I had to go to the market for veggies and cook all my dishes. Thankfully my Mom and Grandma are visiting me for the weekend to help with my party! Thank goodness for family. I’m especially excited about this party b/c it’s an Asian Dinner Party sponsored by Annie Chun’s All Natural Asian Cuisine http://www.anniechuns.com/ . My Mother’s family is Japanese so I love to cook & eat Asian food and I especially love cooking Oriental cuisine with my Mom and Grandma! I live 8 hours from my parents and Grandmother but whenever we visit eachother we have a blast cooking, eating, shopping, and just spending time together!

Grandma and Mom getting pampered before the party! They deserve it!

Grandma shopping at the Sarasota Farmers Market (www.sarasotafarmersmarket.org )

Fresh veggies galore!

                                                   I LOVE Florida strawberries!

Grandma loves strawberries too!

                                                                  Gorgeous colors

With my arms full of organic produce for my party!

Back at home…lots of prep work to do!

Cooking my Korean Bibimbap in my wok. Fresh julienned veggies cooked with sesame oil and Annie Chun’s Gochujang sauce. Slightly spicy and delicious served over rice.

Grandma making Inari (tofu sushi pockets). They were a hit at the party!

Mom making her AMAZING Korean BBQ Pork Buns (scroll down for the recipe)
Put the pork roast in the crockpot and top off with Annie Chun’s Korean BBQ Sauce. Then cook and forget about it for a few hours! So easy.

Korean BBQ Pork Buns
By my Mom, Terri Luciana
Ingredients:

1 Pork Roast 2-3lbs

2 bottles Annie Chun’s Korean BBQ Sauce
½ large vadallia onion, thinly sliced
1 large carrot, julienned (plus more for topping-optional)
¼ cup cilantro, chopped
3 tbsp grated ginger
32 oz beef broth
1/2 cup or 5-6 large shiitake mushrooms, julienned
½ cucumber, minced or julienned
1-2 sliced red chili, optional
Sesame seeds for topping, optional
2 pkgs refrigerated Asian style buns (available in Oriental markets)
Directions:
Place roast in crock pot and pour beef broth, ginger and 1 bottle of Korean BBQ sauce on top of meat.
Cover and cook on HIGH for 3 hours.
Add sliced onions, carrots, and mushrooms to crock pot and add additional 1/2 bottle of BBQ sauce.
Cover and cook on LOW for 2 hours or until pork shreds easily with a fork.
Shred pork and mix well with juices.
Steam buns in a bamboo or stovetop steamer for 5 minutes or until warm and then cut open and fill with pork mixture.
Top with cucumbers, cilantro, chilis, and additional carrots (optional).
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve with additional Korean BBQ sauce on the side.

All sauce products featured in this blog are available for order at www.anniechuns.com
Pictures from the party will be posted soon!
 Happy Cooking!

🍜 We had so much fun celebrating Lunar New Year last weekend with dinner at @pho_85_noodle_house_llc in Bentonville, AR! The Banh Mi sandwich and Beef and Seafood Pho soups were filled with fresh ingredients and flavor packed. As you can see their portions were huge so it's a great place to share! We also tried an appetizer sampler, Thai Tea, Coconut Boba Smoothie (my girls' favorite) and macarons for dessert. Everything was made to order and delicious. The staff was kind and helpful. 🌟I had to step out of my comfort zone today and attend my first networking event since moving to Arkansas. I already struggle with meeting new people and being social since I work from home but now I live in a new city and know no one. Thank goodness I found @winnwa . The networking lunch today at @bonefishgrill was exciting, encouraging, and of course, fun! Over 80 local business women attended and everyone had a chance to introduce themselves and share what they do. I look forward to more #womeninnetworking events in the future. Hoping to make some new friends too!
