9. Finally, for Winnie use a small rectangle piece of cardboard and wrap red yard around the pumpkin stem and then holding the cardboard horizontally above the stem, keep wrapping around the red yard completely covering the cardboard too. It should look like Winnie’s funny hairstyle!

10. Now you have the three Sanderson Sisters as mini pumpkins. Set out as a festive and fun Halloween display for all to see!

My girls and I love Halloween and all the fun traditions like dressing up and decorating pumpkins together every year.

Last year they dressed up as Amelia Earhart and Addison from Disney’s Zombies.

For the past few years we have entered the pumpkin decorating contest at our local library.

Last year all pumpkins had to be inspired by a book and with the new Hocus Pocus graphic novel recently released we knew right away we wanted

to make The Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus.

These simple painted pumpkins turned out so stinkin’ cute and although

they didn’t win the contest they were my favorites that we’ve made in years!

After the contest was over, I put them on display on the railing in my front porch.

“Sistahhhs!”

Ava also created a sloth pumpkin inspired by her favorite animal and the book “The Sloth Who Slowed Us Down”.

Halloween Kids Class Party Treats – Spooky Spiders, Ghosts, and Pumpkins, oh my!

Halloween is almost here y’all and I am so excited I can hardly stand it! This time of year is always busy for us with Ava’s birthday the week before along with family visiting and festivals and events just about every day {or so it seems}. But the girls and I always make fun matching costumes and we love to creative delicious Halloween treats to give to friends and family. This year for Ava’s preschool party we had to come up with a clever way to decorate sealed store bought food. We decided on Ava’s two favorite treats: cheesesticks and orange cups made into pumpkins and ghosts, of course. For Stella’s music class party we made Oreo spiders, which was a fun craft that the girls loved making {and eating}. Check out the pictures and instructions below and let me know what you are making for your kids Halloween treats this year!

My sweet girls dressed up as butterflies this year.

Mommy matched, of course!

Ingredients:

Mozzarella Cheesesticks
Mandarin Orange Cups
Halloween Oreos
Pretzel Sticks
Candy eyeballs
Candy Corn
Black Decorative icing

Directions:

For the pumpkin orange cups and ghost cheesesticks it doesn’t get much easier than this- grab a black Sharpie and get creative drawing funny and spooky faces!
For the Oreo spiders, I broke 4 pretzel sticks in half and pushed 4 halves into each side of an Oreo cookie to makes legs.
Cut off the white part of candy corn and stick two into the bottom of each Oreo for fangs.
Now add a couple dots in the center of the Oreos tops and press on candy eyeballs.

The Oreo Cookies Spiders are from Positively Splendid.

Ava loved taking the pumpkin orange cups and the ghost cheesesticks to her preschool class party.
Only store bought and sealed food was allowed so these were easy non candy foods to bring that the kids loved!

For Stella’s music class we brought Oreo Spiders along with candy bracelets and goodie bags and napkins for taking home.

My Mom is visiting for Ava’s birthday and she helped decorate the ghosts.

Make sure you wipe the moisture off the cheese first. Then use a Sharpie to draw the faces.

My talented artist Ashton drew the funny faces on the orange cups.

Time to make Oreo Spiders!

I love this idea from Positively Splendid.

I stock up on different sizes of candy eyeballs around Halloween time.

They are so fun to use in Halloween bark, cookies, brownies, and treats like these.

Oreos are a favorite so I knew when I saw the fun Halloween
Oreos I wanted to make a treat with them for the kids class.

This works best with double stuff Oreos. The more cream, the better everything sticks.

For the Oreo spiders, I broke 4 pretzel sticks in half and pushed 4 halves into each side
of an Oreo cookie to makes legs.

We also picked up these Halloween candy bracelets for the girl’s to give to their classmates.

I found them at Target and they were in a box of 26, which just so happened to be the perfect amount for both of their classes!

Candy Pretzel Pumpkins and Halloween Sweet Treats

These bite size pretzel pumpkins are made in minutes with just four simple ingredients.

A cute snack idea or classroom treat for fall or Halloween!

Candy Pretzel Pumpkins

Ingredients

mini pretzels
white chocolate chips
green M&M candy
orange food coloring
vegetable oil optional

Instructions

Melt chocolate in a bowl in 30 seconds intervals in the microwave until smooth.
If you need to make it thinner add a tsp of oil to the chocolate.
Add orange food coloring (or a mix of red and yellow) to the melted chocolate.
Now dip the pretzels, one at a time, in the chocolate. Lay out on a sheet of wax paper.
Take green M&M candies, on their sides, and press them onto the top of each pretzel to make the 'leaf'.
Let chocolate cool until hardened then enjoy your pretzel pumpkin treats!

I used a mix of yellow and red food coloring to make orange colored white chocolate.

Dip each mini pretzel in chocolate then top with a vertical green M&M.

Lay on a sheet of wax paper to dry.

Once the chocolate has hardened then time to dig in!
