This festive holiday display is a fun way to serve donuts for a family brunch or Christmas gathering.

The donut wreath can be assembled easily and is always a hit with kids!

Christmas Donut Wreath

Ingredients

• 2 14 oz packages about 4 dozen assorted donut holes
• 1 14 oz package about 20 mini powdered donuts
• foam craft wreath
• plastic wrap
• toothpicks

Instructions

• Add plastic wrap to a foam wreath completely covering.
• Set the wreath on a platter.
• Begin to add the donut holes all over the top and sides by inserting toothpicks at an angle halfway and gently pushing a donut hole through the center of the toothpick.
• Continue to add donut holes and fill in with the mini powdered donuts too on the top.
• Add donuts until completely covered.
• Wrap with plastic wrap until ready to serve.
• Optional: you can add a bow or ribbon to the center front of the wreath.

Add plastic wrap to a foam wreath completely covering then add to a platter.

I used one package of mini powdered donuts and two packages assorted glazed donut holes.

Begin to add the donut holes all over the top and sides by inserting toothpicks at an angle halfway. 

Then gently push the donut holes through the center of each toothpick.

Continue to add donut holes and fill in with the mini powdered donuts too on the top. 

Add donuts until completely covered. 

Optional: you can add a bow or ribbon to the center front of the wreath.

Serve right away or cover with plastic wrap to keep from going stale.

I recommend you serve the day or the day after you assemble.

These sauteed rainbow carrots are glazed with a rich French onion butter.

Serve this bright and colorful side dish at your holiday meals this year.

French Onion Glazed Rainbow Carrots

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients

• 6 large approx 1 lb rainbow carrots, ends removed, peeled and sliced into coins
• 4 tbsp French Onion butter I used Chef Shamy
• 1 cup water

Instructions

• Add the carrots and water to a large skillet.
• Bring a to a simmer and cook over medium heat for 8-10 minutes until tender and water has evaporated.
• Stir in the butter.
• Cook and continue to stir for a few more minutes until coated.
• Serve warm .

Rainbow carrots are such a pretty veggie and they taste delicious too! 

I have been a fan of this butter from Chef Shamy for years since I tried the product at Everything Food Conference. 

Now I buy a few different flavors every time I go to Sam’s Club.  

This French Onion butter is one of my favorites and tastes great on veggies.

Peel, remove the ends, and slice carrots into coins.

Add the carrots and water to a large skillet.

All of the water should be evaporated. 

Now add a few scoops of butter. I start with 2 or 3 tbsp ad add more if needed.

BRRRRR! It’s freezing here in the Midwest and we are expecting another snow day next week. Snow days are my favorite since I grew up in Florida and never even saw snow until I was an adult. My kids, husband, dogs, and I love getting bundled up and sledding down the hill in our yard, making snowmen and snow angels, and, of course, having a snowball fight! After playing in the snow though we’re always tired and cold, so for lunch and dinner I have a few favorite comfort food recipes I cook up while we warm up by the fire and watch a movie.

This simple and delicious appetizer is festively colored for the Christmas holidays but delicious served year round!

I love serving cheese as an appetizer and one of my very favorites is creamy Brie.

This brie recipe is so easy anyone can prepare it in minutes. It looks impressive  and tastes delicious when served on a platter with crackers and fruit.

Raspberry Pistachio Baked Brie

Ingredients

• 8 ounce wheel of brie cheese
• 1/2 cup seedless raspberry jam
• 1/4 cup pistachios shelled
• sliced apples pears and crackers for dipping

Instructions

• Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
• Remove the top rind of the brie by carefully cutting away the top layer of skin/paper.
• Place the brie in a small oven safe skillet (I like cast iron) or small baking dish.
• Heat the raspberry jam for 5 to 10 seconds in the microwave on high until it's easily spreadable.
• Spoon it on top of the Brie, right in the middle. Using a rubber spatula, spread it out to the edges.
• Spoon the pistachios on top of the jam, covering the top.
• Bake the Brie in the center rack for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is beginning to melt inside.
• Remove from oven and serve warm.
• Add sliced fruit and crackers on a platter and serve with the brie for dipping.

I used raspberry jam and pistachios because I served this dish during the holidays and they were festive colors.

Feel free to use your favorite fruit spread and nuts.

We are all about snack time in our house, especially when the kids are home for Christmas break.

This Christmas Tree Shaped Snack Board is the perfect movie night treat, afternoon snack, or festive appetizer for the holidays!

Christmas Tree Charcuterie

Ingredients

• 2 green apples sliced
• 1/2 cup green grapes
• pepperoni or salami rounds sliced
• 1/2 cup small mozzarella balls
• 2 varieties cubed cheese I did cheddar and gouda
• 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
• 1 cup assorted Christmas colored candies

Instructions

• I start with a large Christmas Tree shaped platter. If you do not have one you can arrange the ingredients in a tree shape on a cutting board or rectangle platter. To give mine dimension I laid my tree platter on top of a large wood board.
• Start with a row of green apple slices on the bottom of the tree.
• Now add a row of cubed white cheese .
• Now for a red row: I used sliced pepperoni or salami.
• Add another row of cubed cheese.
• Top with a row of green grapes.
• Add mozzarella balls in a row wherever you need to fill in space on the tree.
• To the very top add a small bowl of red pomegranate seeds.
• To decorate the bottom of the board, around the stem of the tree, add a variety of Christmas candies.
• Serve and enjoy your Christmas snack!
